We are hiring substitutes in the Hazelwood School District for the 26-27 school year! No previous experience is required!

Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day. Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher. Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.

Minimum Requirements:

• 18+ years of age
• 36 college credit hours or high school diploma and completion of substitute training course
• Kelly offers the substitute Pathways Substitute Training course for candidates without the 36 college credit hours

Substitute Pay Rates:

• Teacher: $140 per day
• Teacher (Long-Term, 10+ days): $251.72 per day
• Paraprofessional/Teacher Assistant: $16.85 per hour

Responsibilities and Job Description(s):

• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
• Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
• For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments
