Position: Contract History Lecturer: Colonial Canada, 1500-1867
Location: Winnipeg

The University of Winnipeg is seeking a Contract Academic Staff member to teach History (HIST-) in the Winter 2027 semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a survey course on the economic, social, and political history of Canada, spanning from early encounters with Indigenous peoples to Confederation.

This position requires a minimum qualification of ABD in Post M.A. studies. The role involves teaching 12 classes, each 50 minutes long, with a projected enrollment of 48 students. This contract runs from December 4, 2026, to May 14, 2027, and offers remuneration of $6,655, inclusive of vacation pay.
