Position SummaryProvide research based instruction to assist student demonstration of success.
Essential Functions and Duties- Obtain and maintain MO DESE AEL teacher certification.
- Obtain a minimum of 20 professional development hours each year.
- Complete a two year mentoring program.
- Attend all local and state required workshops/training.
- Provide evidence based instruction that includes, but limited to, individual, group, on-line, peer tutoring and flip classroom.
- Provide student academic counseling.
- Assist students with goal setting.
- Collaborate with state and local entities to achieve student success.
- Recruit students and volunteers.
- Establish local community partnerships to assist with student support.
- Submit accurate monthly reports in a timely manner.
- May be required to serve on local/state Board/Committee.

Qualifications- Experience
—teaching experience preferred - Education
—Bachelor Degree from accredited four-year institution - Needed Skills
—excellent communication skills, good computer/technology skills, organized, multi-tasker, accepting of diversity, ability to maintain student private records, and a life-long learner. Must be able to obtain FBI Fingerprint/Background clearance, ACES, TABE, TABE Class E, MyStar/Banner and other required certification.
Work involves sedentary to light work in office setting and able to lift up to 30 pounds. Employee accommodations for disabilities will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Standard Work ScheduleMinimum of 9 hours per week Monday through Friday. May include evening hours. Workshop/training may include weekends.
Travel RequirementsWorkshop/training may require travel, which may include overnight travel.
