West Hills Presbyterian Church seeks a Youth Pastor/Director to join our Student Ministry (SM) team. His primary role would involve leading the High School ministry but with oversight on the Jr. High Ministry alongside the current Jr. High Director. We seek a mature believer with an evident love for Christ and His Church, a high view of Scripture, and a clear commitment to the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word in all areas of life and ministry.
This role provides discipleship, teaching, and program coordination in partnership with church staff and volunteers. The Youth Pastor/Director will deliver expositional teaching and preaching, partner with parents, and plan events to foster unity. This position also requires regular attendance at the English Ministry worship service on Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
- Weekly Sunday morning worship ministry – preaching, small group, student and parent engagement, operations, recruitment, and support volunteers
- Weekly Friday SM staff meetings – discussion, collaboration, feedback
- Weekly Friday worship ministry – in partnership with Jr. High director, provide teaching/study, coordinate volunteers, plan regular events
- Regular communication with staff and parents – phone/email/newsletter, PTAs, meetings
- Lead annual events – summer/winter retreats, monthly outings, banquets
- Education – Bachelor’s degree; M.Div (completed or in process)
- Language – English. Proficiency in Korean would be beneficial but not required.

- Preaching, teaching, and discipling adolescence
- Ability to lead volunteers with clarity, warmth, and consistency
- Strong communication skills with parents, volunteers, and church staff
- Commitment to the authority of the Scriptures and the leadership of the church
The Youth Pastor/Director serves under the leadership of the church and collaborates closely with the SM Lead Director and pastoral staff. This role works in partnership with other directors of the Student Ministry to support cohesive ministry programming and clear communication.
Child Safety and ScreeningEmployment will require completion of the church’s child safety process, which includes screening, background check, and required training.
