What it’s like to be a Teaching Fellow Site LeadYour day-to-day involves the active supervision and coordination of after school activities. You serve as the point of contact for school personnel, ensuring that the program operates in full compliance with state and federal laws. From preparing essential data reports to fostering a safe and healthy atmosphere for students, you are the operational backbone that allows our mission to succeed on the ground.
TheOpportunity
- Coordinate and Supervise Designated After school Program Site – Coordinate after school programs in cooperation with school administrators and other personnel; assure compliance with licensing requirements, state and federal laws, and rules and regulations; collect and prepare program data and submit to State and Federal grant funding; provide a safe and healthy learning environment for youth by maintaining safe practices and procedures; ensure that enrichment and instructional materials are set‑up and set‑out each time;
coordinate and implement various student and family services while assisting program administrators in identifying available services; assure and evaluate program effectiveness and make or implement modifications; assist with placement and development of students and staff; train program participants; communicate with students, parents and outside agencies; monitor student behavior and enforce behavioral standards. - Marketing Program and Data Entry – Develop a unique and marketable name for the site; design effective marketing materials such as flyers, brochures and posters; create and implement incentive programs; disseminate enrollment applications; increase program enrollments; record and input attendance data; prepare and maintain records and reports required by State and Federal agencies; review and approve time sheets; input new student profiles in E.R.C's attendance management website.
- Monitor and Observe Classroom – Visit classrooms daily to ensure staff engage students; coach and mentor staff; provide flexibility for staff to manage instructional and enrichment time; observe enrichment time; provide assistance; give constructive feedback; review lesson plans; monitor and manage student behavior.
- Manage Budget, Purchase Orders and Supplies – Monitor and manage assigned budget; prepare plans and reports; monitor expenditures; complete and submit purchase orders; purchase supplies; sign receipts and invoices; maintain inventory of items over $500; store and maintain supplies at site.
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned – Attend staff development trainings and meetings; follow direction set by executive and supervisor; offer opinions and suggestions; perform other duties as assigned.
- 18 years old or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Completion of 48 college units or passage of an approved exam, if applicable, to meet the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements
