Contract Duration9 months
Work ScheduleAlternating 4/10 work schedule for out-of-state consultants; fully on‑site position.
EligibilityClear background check, drug test, and education check required. Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Responsibilities- Analyze subject material for new and revised training.
- Use the ADDIE design process to determine job performance measures (JPMs), establish training settings, sequence training objectives, and identify test items.
- Develop lessons for classroom and laboratory settings, JPM performance evaluations, and test questions.
- Execute developed training by preparing presentations and verifying instructional resources.
- Evaluate training outcomes by collecting data, including test results, feedback, and post‑training evaluations.
- Promote industrial safety: model and reinforce management expectations, engage students, and apply human performance tools.
- Integrate ALARA topics covering exposure minimization and contamination control.
- Contribute to organizational effectiveness by encouraging training participation, ensuring housekeeping standards, and reinforcing safety behaviors.
- Support outage performance when requested by holding an outage position.
- Maintain instructor qualifications, certifications, and technical proficiency; perform management observations.
- Perform emergency response organization duties.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in DCPP’s maintenance or training department.
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance or training from another company.
- For positions requiring nuclear experience: 5 years electrical maintenance experience at another nuclear power plant or 7 years of experience at a different power plant (e.g., gas plant, manufacturing plant).
- Electrical apprenticeship completion, or a degree in electrical engineering combined with at least 1 year of nuclear plant experience.
- Instructor experience in an adult learning environment with demonstrated instructional development skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Vision Applications Suite.
- Basic familiarity with SAP and Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and strong analytical skills.
- Experience with OJT/TPE process implementation.
- Strong presentation and coaching skills.
- Experience applying human performance tools and techniques.
