Part Time Substitute Teacher

Position Summary

Osborn R-O School District is seeking reliable, flexible, and student-centered substitute teachers to support our classrooms when regular teachers are absent. Substitute teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, following lesson plans, supervising students, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during the school day.

• Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the classroom teacher
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and other school settings
• Take attendance and complete required documentation
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration
• Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas as needed
• Uphold district policies, procedures, and professional expectations

• Substitute teaching certificate or ability to obtain appropriate Missouri substitute certification
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and administration
