**** This is an onsite, in-person position located in the St. Louis, Missouri area. Candidates should apply only if they are able to be physically present and available to work onsite by the start date
**** This is a temporary, one year position at the Wildwood campuses.
STLCC is seeking a Faculty member for the Fall 2026 semester, during the day hours. Provide instruction in Business and Economics related courses, including Introduction to Business (BUS 104), Principles of Macroeconomics (ECO 151) and Principles of Microeconomics (ECO 152), and hold scheduled office hours, conduct evaluation of student learning, and maintain appropriate documentation at the Wildwood campus.
Responsibilities- Prepare for class sessions
- Teach classes in a face to face format
- Grade student assignments in a timely manner
- Respond to student e-mails in a timely manner
- Meet students as necessary outside of class to answer questions/review course material
- Scheduling student conferences to review individual student progress
- Assisting in student academic advisement
- Participating in departmental selection of course texts, instructional equipment, library books, classroom supplies and materials, and non-print resource materials
- Participating in departmental development, evaluation, and revision of course objectives and outlines, instructional strategies, and systems of evaluation and assessment of student learning
- Attending faculty and institutional meetings
- Participating in departmental, divisional, campus, and college-wide service
- Assisting part-time faculty
- Assisting with student recruitment
- Assisting with student job, internship, or workplace learning placement
- Supporting the Curriculum and Assessment and Registrar Departments with articulation and transfer review, course equivalency review, or other course-specific information
- Sponsoring student activities, groups, or clubs
- Attending institutional ceremonies or events
- Participating in community activities
- Participating in professional development activities
- Master’s Degree in Business/ Economics
- Previous community college teaching experience
- Teaching experience at the college level, and ability to teach during the day.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive learning environment
