Del Paso Manor School. Work Day: 6 hours (Monday—Friday, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM). Work Year: 9 months/year (206 days/year, 5 days/week). Salary: $18.58 – $24.47 per hour (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule). Benefits included.

- Run small groups and assist students in large group settings in both Special Day Class and General Education environments.
- Support teachers’ instructional needs and help students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs.
- Assist students served in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs, including those in severe/emotionally disturbed or autism classes, and support behaviorists when required.
- Provide one‑on‑one or small group support to students with various disabilities and learning needs.
- Relevant experience working with groups of children and/or students with disabilities.
- Ability to handle one‑on‑one or small group instruction at the age‑appropriate level.
- Willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire if required to drive any equipment or vehicle.
- For IA I:
Experience with general classroom and group settings. - For IA II:
Experience with Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs. - For IA III:
Experience supporting severe/emotionally disturbed students and students in behavior management settings.
- Passing score from SJUSD Proficiency Exam (testing date April 2005 to present). (Link to Pre-Employment Test).
- Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST).
- Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units).
- Proof of an A.A. degree or higher.
Applicants must submit at least one of the documents above. Passing the IA Proficiency Test or having the CBEST is required regardless of educational background. Applications missing required test results will not be considered.
