Homeschool and Community Engagement Candidates should live in Siskiyou, Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, or Modoc Counties
Reports To: Director of Schools and Director of Homeschool
Primary Focus: Homeschool Growth and Community Engagement in Siskiyou County and Surrounding Areas
Work Location: On‑site in Happy Camp with regional travel as needed
The Taylion Six Rivers Academy Liaison supports the expansion and success of the Homeschool Program in Siskiyou County and nearby regions. This role provides direct support to families, assists Education Specialists, and serves as an on‑site representative in Happy Camp to strengthen relationships with the authorizing district, local organizations, and the broader community. The Liaison ensures that families receive high quality customer service, timely support, and a positive school experience that promotes program growth and long‑term sustainability.
Homeschooland Family Support
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact for homeschool families in Happy Camp and surrounding areas
- Assist families with onboarding, enrollment processes, and understanding program expectations
- Provide guidance on curriculum options, instructional resources, and school procedures
- Support Education Specialists by helping coordinate meetings, events, and family communication
- Maintain regular communication with families through phone, email, Remind, and in‑person interactions
- Help families navigate digital platforms and school systems as needed
- Represent Taylion Six Rivers Academy within the Happy Camp community and surrounding regions
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the authorizing district, local organizations, and community partners
- Participate in community events, school functions, and outreach activities to promote program visibility
- Identify opportunities for collaboration that support student learning and program growth
- Serve as a professional and approachable representative of Taylion in all community interactions
- Maintain a consistent on‑site presence in Happy Camp to support walk‑in inquiries and scheduled appointments
- Provide high quality customer service to families, students, and community members
- Assist with distributing learning materials, instructional funds, and school resources
- Support the coordination of field trips, in‑person meetings, and homeschool events
- Ensure that the school environment is welcoming, organized, and aligned with Taylion’s mission and values
- Assist Education Specialists with scheduling, communication, and family follow‑up
- Help coordinate Learning Period meetings, events, and assessment logistics
- Support documentation processes by helping families understand requirements and deadlines
Communicate family needs, concerns, and feedback to Education Specialists and administrators - Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture
- Maintain accurate communication logs and assist with basic documentation tasks as directed
- Support families in understanding attendance expectations, engagement requirements, and school policies
- Assist with organizing materials, records, and event logistics
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and state regulations
- Provide timely responses to all communications within 24 business hours
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Represent Taylion with integrity, respect, and a commitment to student success
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required
- Travel locally within Siskiyou County and surrounding areas as needed
- Minimum of three years of work experience in education, customer service, community outreach, or a related field
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with families, schools, or community organizations preferred
- Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent on‑site presence in Happy Camp
- Proficiency with Google Suite, email communication, and basic digital tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- DOJ fingerprint clearance and completion of internal training required
