Christ Community Lutheran School has an opening to join our Early Childhood Education team as a Full-Time Assistant Teacher in our 2's Room. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for toddlers and preschoolers, including older two-year-olds and younger three-year-olds. As an Assistant Teacher in our ECE program, you have a direct impact on precious little ones… as well as young, new parents and even whole families.

• Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs
• Use technology for professional development and communication with parents and team members
• Collaborate with lead teacher and other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment
• Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

• Standard full-time hourly schedule is 8:15 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
• Breaks are provided (off the clock)
• Total working time: 40 hours per week

• Annual Cycle: position typically runs August 1 through June 1 (ten months)
• By default, June and July are off work (no duties/no pay)
• Summer employment also available (optional)

• Associate's degree or higher preferred
• Experience working with toddlers and preschoolers
• Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with others
• Passion for teaching and working with children
• Alignment with CCLS mission and statement of faith

• Hourly pay rate $16.00/hour ($17.00 if Bachelor's degree completed)
