POSITION SUMMARY:
The Camdenton R-III School District is seeking dedicated, full-time substitute teachers. In this role, you will be assigned to a secondary building and will be asked to cover daily vacancies as needed. Our substitutes ensure the continuity of education by implementing lesson plans, maintaining effective classroom management, and fostering a safe learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher directly upholding our district culture of "Everyone Learning Every Day."
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certification
- Pass all background checks and screenings
- Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred)
- Valid Missouri teaching certification (preferred)

REPORTS TO:
Building Principal where assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure students remain on track with curriculum goals.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment; manage student behavior in accordance with school and district policies.
- Monitor students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and during recess or other scheduled activities.
- Accurately take attendance, record student progress, and provide a detailed summary report for the teacher at the conclusion of the day.
- Demonstrate flexibility and successfully transition between different classroom environments, subject matters, and grade levels.
- Adhere to all school and district procedures, including strict confidentiality requirements regarding student information.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Building Principal and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
164 day work agreement Board approved regular substitute teacher pay rates. Benefits include the board paid health insurance at $8,016. 100% match of the employee's contribution to the Public School Retirement System, up to 6.8% of annual salary. 11 days of Paid Time Off (9 Sick / 2 Personal)
