The Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a highly qualified individual to work as a Student Behavior Coach at Peculiar Elementary School. This position plays a vital role in promoting a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment for students. This position supports classroom teachers by assisting students who need additional behavioral, social-emotional, or self-regulation support. The ideal candidate is patient, calm, and able to build trusting relationships with studentswhile reinforcing appropriate expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborates with the district and building MTSS team to identify students in need of interventions.
- Serves on the Student Response Team to provide immediate support during student crises or emergencies and collaborates with appropriate staff members to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Provides planned evidence-based interventions for the purpose of improving students' social and behavioral skills.
- Tracks data and conducts behavioral observations of students for the purpose of helping guide the MTSS team to make data-based decisions for student improvement needs.
- Facilitates communication and collaboration with teachers and staff regarding behavior plans and students' progress
- Maintains a variety of manual and electronic instructional files and records for the purpose of providing written reference and meeting mandated requirements.
- Monitors students' behavior and performance for the purpose of ensuring the safety of the students and supporting established success plans.
- Participates in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills related to student support and youth development
This position requires a Missouri Substitute Teacher Certification through the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). A substitute certificate can be secured in one of the ways listed below. The certification must be secured within 30 days of hire.
Salary$17.68- $21.55/hour, based upon education and previous experience.
This is considered a full time position with benefits available after 60 days of employment.
