Scholars Academy seeks an enthusiastic and organized preschool teaching director to join our amazing team!

About the RoleWe are looking for a highly qualified individual who is eager to grow and expand our Preschool program and have a direct impact on our students, parents and staff members. This is a full time role (part time director and part time teacher) that requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, collaboration, ownership, flexibility, problem solving mentality and a “can-do” attitude.
We require this role to have 12 ECE units and Preschool admin units.
- Enforcing Preschool regulations and policies amongst students, parents and staff members
- Maintaining student and licensing required records
- Overseeing daily operations of the classroom and school, while proactively identifying new processes
- Developing, managing and implementing curriculum and educational activities including camps and specialty subjects
- Supporting students with daily activities (playtime, snacks, naptime, etc)
- Maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment
- Effectively communicating with students, parents and staff members (example: sharing student's progress)
- Participating in staff meetings and other school organized events
- Helping with front and back office admin responsibilities (drafting letters/memos/emails, updating internal documents, etc.)
- Ability to adapt and quickly pivot (example: sub for different classrooms)
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience
- Minimum of 1 year of director or similar role experiences
- Familiar with Preschool regulations and policies
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Covid-19 Vaccine required
- Strong computer skills (Gmail, Google docs, etc.)
- Ability to effectively prioritize work duties and adapt quickly
- Strong written and oral communication skills
