Villa Duchesne, a Catholic independent school rooted in the Sacred Heart tradition, is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Lower School Elementary Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. Qualifications & Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (master’s degree preferred).Have prior experience teaching at the elementary level, with a deep understanding of child development and best practices in education.
Demonstrate a deep commitment to student-centered learning and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Have an expert understanding of teaching pedagogy in literacy, writing, and mathematics.
Implement a rigorous, engaging, and developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the school’s mission and academic standards.
Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technology to enhance learning experiences.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support the academic, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student.
Communicates thoughtfully and respectfully, demonstrating strong organizational skills and a commitment to clear, compassionate dialogue with colleagues, students, and families.
Partners with parents in support of each child’s growth, communicating openly and respectfully about student progress, curriculum, and child development.
Embraces collaborative teaching, working closely with teammates to design engaging and appropriately challenging learning experiences while seeking meaningful interdisciplinary connections that enrich student learning.
Values ongoing professional growth through reflection, collaboration, and continuous learning.
