A Substitute Teacher provides temporary classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. They maintain a positive learning environment, follow lesson plans, manage student behavior, and ensure students remain engaged in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Deliver instruction and facilitate classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment.
- Manage student behavior according to school policies.
- Take attendance and maintain accurate classroom records.
- Adapt lessons when necessary to meet student needs.
- Supervise students during class, lunch, recess, or other assigned duties.
- Communicate important information about the day's activities to the regular teacher and school administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
