The Department of Accounting & Finance in the Lucas College of Business at San José State University is pleased to announce a search for Assistant Professor of Accounting beginning in August 2027. The successful candidate will teach broadly in accounting coursework, which may include financial, managerial, analytics, or internal audit courses in our undergraduate, MS Accounting Analytics, or MBA programs. The faculty will engage in research targeted to highly respected accounting journals and in service at department, college, or university levels.

The Department of Accounting & Finance teaches undergraduate coursework in finance, accounting, and tax disciplines with a technology flavor and encourages cross-discipline research. It houses both the Masters of Science in Accounting Analytics and the Masters of Science in Financial Analytics degrees. Centers of excellence include the Center for Banking and Financial Services, the Accounting Advancement Center, and the High Technology Tax Institute.
