Westside Baptist Church is looking for our next Youth Pastor/Ministry Leader! We are a God fearing Baptist Faith and Message 2000 adhering Church located in the military community of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri! We have a great youth program with approximately 100 students who are eager to be led by the pastor God has for them! Salary range is $44,000-$46,000 (based on experience) and includes Life Insurance, retirement contributions, holidays, vacation, and sick days.

QUALIFICATION:
  • Must be a Christian and sign a statement of faith.
  • Must be a member of Westside Baptist Church.
  • Must clear a criminal background check.
  • Must complete and pass a Child Protection Class annually.
  • Must maintain the highest level of moral and ethical standard.
  • Must possess a high quality of leadership, good interpersonal communication skills and adaptability.
  • Bachelors of Science degree or higher, in a related field is recommended and desired.
JOB GOAL:

The Youth Pastor is responsible to the Lord and to Westside Baptist Church for equipping the youth to witness, to grow and to develop in Christian maturity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 1. Work with committed adults through a Volunteer Ministry Program to provide leadership and support to the youth of the church.
  • 2. Develop and coordinate a variety of youth sponsored activities to include but not limited to camps, conferences, retreats, lock-ins, mission work, study groups, weekend activities, Christian concerts, and programs of interest to youth of all ages.
  • 3. Establish and maintain a calendar of youth programs and events.
  • 4. Utilize budget to ensure that necessary supplies, materials, and equipment are available for programs and activities.
  • 5. Hold parent meetings and maintain a positive interaction with families.
  • 6. Assist in the development of long-range and short-range goals for the Youth Ministry.
  • 6. Report on the status of the Youth Ministry at the request of the Pastor.
  • 7. Provide support to volunteer leaders of ministries such as:
    Children’s and Preschool Ministries.
  • 8. Submit an annual budget for the Youth Ministry to the Stewardship Team for church approval and oversee budget per the church’s guidelines and procedures.
  • 9. Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • 10. Attend church, association and statewide worship and educational training programs as directed by the Pastor and within budget constraints.
  • 11. Help facilitate and oversee special events (Judgement House, etc.).
  • 12. Maintain assigned equipment.
  • 13. Carry out duties as assigned by the Pastor.
