Position OverviewTutor Partners is seeking experienced qualified high school math tutors to provide in-person tutoring services in partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) at its specialized high schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct academic impact with students during the school day.
LocationLos Angeles County High School for the Arts and International Polytechnic High School
ScheduleMonday through Friday from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, starting now through the end of the 26-27 school year.
Pay Rate$20-30 per hour
QualificationsAssociate’s degree or minimum of 24 college credits required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with K-12 students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to pass required background clearances (e.g., Live Scan/fingerprinting) as required by LACOE
- Reliable transportation to assigned site
- Provide small-group and push-in math support aligned to student needs during the school day
- Track and report student progress
- Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders, administration of assessments, and coordination meetings
- Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel to coordinate scheduling and materials
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional learning environment
