Job Summary

The Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) will play a pivotal role in implementing a three-year grant initiative aimed at enhancing engineering and design education, establishing makerspaces, and introducing Career and Technical Education (CTE) concepts through hands-on making and design. This position will support two high schools, foster student engagement in STEM fields, and manage grant-related activities, including supporting county robotics clubs and coordinating grant deliverables.

This position is open until filled. Applications will be constantly screened. THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO LAY-OFF AT THE END OF THE  SCHOOL YEAR. Must hold a valid California teaching credential. Experience in STEM/CTE education, engineering, design, or related fields. Knowledge of makerspace tools and technologies (e.g., 3D printers, CNC machines, Arduino, laser cutters). Background in robotics or mentorship of STEM-related student organizations is a plus.
