Norwest Christian College is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our growing community from Term 1, 2027. This full-time role will suit a teacher who is passionate about English, committed to Christian education, and eager to help students grow in faith, character, and purpose.

• Contribute dynamically to the English team by working collaboratively to create rich learning experiences that strengthen students academically and support the development of positive learning dispositions.
• Bring previous experience, or demonstrate the capacity to develop resources, assessment tasks and lessons that align with the new Stage 4-5 English Syllabus, including the meaningful use of technology and project-based learning where appropriate.
• Demonstrate the capacity and willingness to teach Stage 6 English courses, with knowledge of syllabus requirements and an understanding of NESA requirements for Stage 6 English.
• Have strong communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build strong connections with students, staff and the wider school community.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:

• have experience with Stage 6 learning, including teaching the New Stage 6 Syllabus (and demonstrated success);
• be committed to their own professional learning and growth;
• be pastorally minded and comfortable with sharing your faith;
• have an understanding of the wellbeing needs of adolescents; and,
• be willing to actively contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College.
