Title: Site Supervisor, Monterey
-Full Time

Work Schedule: Full-time, non-exempt; generally to be scheduled between 8 am – 7 pm, Monday – Friday with occasional later evening and weekend responsibilities.

Location: Casanova Oak Knoll Park Center 735 Ramona Ave., Monterey, CA

Under the direction of the Sr. Impact Director, the Site Supervisor will support youth success through outstanding, Mission-driven and integrity-centered leadership and management at the Casanova Oak Knoll Park Center in Monterey (Monterey site). S/he accomplishes this by cultivating and managing a high performing team who delivers engaging, age-appropriate and outcome-driven programs serving youth ages 6-14. This position involves flexible hours due to programming at school sites in the morning and program oversight in afternoons at the Monterey site.

This position requires a high level of community relations with schools and city officials. The Site Supervisor’s primary work location is the Boys & Girls Club administrative office in Seaside and the Casanova Oak Knoll Park Center in the afternoons.

• Foster a safe, positive, fun and impactful program where participants acquire a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, power and influence
• Oversee daily after-school or recreational activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate and engaging for youth ages 6-14
• Foster a safe, positive, fun, and impactful environment where 75-100 youth daily acquire a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, power and influence
• Serve as role model to youth exemplifying the pillars of Good Character & Citizenship
• Serve as a mentor to guide youth through personal and educational challenges
• Demonstrate integrity, sound judgment, respect for others, and a strong commitment to the positive development and well-being of youth
• Model appropriate behavior, professionalism, responsibility, and respectful communication at all times
• Provide homework support for elementary and middle school youth
• Implement BGCA programming to achieve positive outcomes in healthy lifestyles, academic success, character & citizenship and life and workforce readiness
• Demonstrate mastery of classroom management
• Address youth behavior with a positive discipline approach that is fair, firm, consistent and kind
• Implement school day programming in the Monterey Bay area
• Communicate regularly with school administration and city officials when applicable for program success
• Ensure a culture of high expectations and frequent recognition of youth for their efforts and achievements
• Implement Club program goals, activities, and schedules
• Lead recruitment and enrollment strategies to grow member participation to meet program goals

• Lead assigned team by making confident decisions with minimal supervision
• Recruit, hire, and set the team culture of Youth Development Professionals and volunteers
• Supervise and manage the work performance of direct reports
• Oversee daily activities to ensure alignment with organizational goals, standards, and quality control expectations
• Monitor staff progress in achieving weekly, monthly & quarterly goals by tracking their performance with clearly defined and measurable objectives
• Conduct introductory and annual performance reviews of Monterey site staff as required
• Ensure all Monterey site staff are knowledgeable with BGCMC processes, managing program intake systems, enrollment, and attendance tracking
