Renewable Energy Intern - Policy

Founded in 2022, Linea Energy is a rapidly growing renewable energy startup with a mission to re‑envision renewables and accelerate the clean energy transition through innovative development and efficient operations. We are committed to building a sustainable future by driving the adoption of solar, wind, and energy storage technologies across the U.S.

We are seeking a highly motivated Policy undergraduate or graduate intern for the 2024/2025 school year, preference for Stanford and Berkeley University. This role is ideal for students majoring in Policy or a related field, who are set to graduate in 2025. As an intern, you will work closely with our management team, gaining hands‑on experience in researching market conditions, federal and state energy policy, and utility regulations.

• Policy Research: Assist in monitoring and analyzing federal, state, and RTO/ISO energy policies and their impact on the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar and energy storage.
• Regulatory Analysis: Help track regulatory developments affecting energy markets and assist with summarizing utility filings and policy reports.
• Market Assessments: Support the team in conducting market research related to renewable energy deployment, including reviewing utility programs and renewable portfolio standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in drafting summaries of key energy‑related legislation and support preparation for stakeholder meetings and policy discussions.
• Policy Briefs & Reports: Contribute to the preparation of internal memos, policy briefs, and presentations that inform our team's strategy on energy market conditions and policy risks.

• Current undergraduate or graduate senior majoring in Policy, Political Science, Energy Studies, or a related field, planning to graduate in 2025.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with a demonstrated interest in renewable energy policy.
• Familiarity with the U.S. energy landscape and renewable energy technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft.

This is a paid internship that provides the opportunity to gain real‑world experience in corporate communications within the renewable energy sector. You'll work closely with experienced professionals, contributing to projects that play a key role in promoting Linea Energy’s mission to accelerate the clean energy transition.
