Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead Reliability, Maintainability, and Systems Health Engineer (Level
4) to support the Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Team in Berkeley, MO.

The successful candidate is a self-starter who can plan, design, develop and verify a balanced life-cycle system solution in a collaborative environment. The selected candidate will perform critical work in one or more major disciplines of specialty engineering:
Reliability & Maintainability, Systems Safety, and Human Factors. The candidate may also provide systems engineering support to areas such as affordability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and system effectiveness.

Position Responsibilities
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify highly complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Leads analyses for reliability, maintainability, testability, survivability, certification, and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Leads, develops designs and conducts research that results in new requirements management methodologies or unique approaches that mitigate assessment/review findings.
  • Creates and implements strategic approaches for program and business area decisions.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Typical Education & Experience

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-U.S. equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
