Toyoda Gosei Missouri (TGMO, located in Perryville, MO) has an opening for a Die Cast Machine Engineer to assist our Machine Engineering Team in the design, development, and implementation of die casting equipment and processes. The Machine Engineer supports CAD design, procurement, machine programming, and production optimization, and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on manufacturing environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Engineer with CAD design of die cast tooling, fixtures, and machine components
  • Support procurement activities, including sourcing components, preparing technical specifications, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers
  • Assist with machine and process programming, including parameter setup, optimization, and documentation
  • Participate in die casting process improvement efforts to enhance quality, efficiency, and cycle times
  • Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of die cast machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues
  • Maintain engineering documentation, drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and revision control
  • Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
  • Support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and safety initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Basic to intermediate experience with CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor coordination is a plus
  • Entry-level to mid-level experience; recent graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with die cast machine programming or process setup
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing floor environment
