Lead the electrical engineering function, providing technical direction, people leadership, and project oversight. Responsible for engineering strategy, execution, and cross-functional collaboration for power and substation-related products.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute electrical engineering strategy aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Lead and develop electrical engineers and test technicians
- Oversee design, development, testing, and validation of electrical systems for substations, switch gear, transformers, protective relays, and power distribution
- Provide technical leadership on protection & control systems, medium- and low-voltage systems, and power systems analysis
- Ensure compliance with ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and applicable industry standards
- Drive design-for-manufacturability in collaboration with mechanical, manufacturing, and project teams
- Manage engineering budgets, schedules, and resources
- Support customer-facing technical discussions and cross-functional initiatives to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction
- Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- 5+ years in an engineering leadership role
- Strong experience with protection & control systems and substation electrical design
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex engineering projects
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
