What the job involves:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Reliability Engineering Intern to join our team. The intern will work with the Reliability Engineering lead to manage and expand predictive maintenance program, operationalize preventive maintenance program, and perform root cause analysis for system/equipment failures. As an Intern in Engineering at JLL, you will:
Review and improve Preventive Maintenance Routines and Predictive Maintenance Tasks for enhanced facility reliability
Perform Failure Root Cause Analysis on critical equipment to identify areas for improvement
Lead and execute Six Sigma continuous improvement projects for increased efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and implement a comprehensive equipment reliability program
Conduct reliability audits and assessments to identify potential issues and recommend proactive solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies
Program Details  Dates:  June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

Location:

Chesterfield and Creve Coeur, MO Education, Skills, and Experience   Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree, with 2-3 years completed majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or any other Engineering and/or Facilities Management. Understanding of engineering principles and mechanics, knowledge of maintenance and reliability concepts, and familiarity with relevant software/tools for analyzing equipment performance.
Ability to conduct data analysis, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, database management, and statistical analysis software can be beneficial.
Capability to identify root causes of equipment failures, propose effective solutions, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, present findings, and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to pay close attention to small details, perform thorough equipment inspections, and follow established maintenance and reliability protocols.
Experience in managing projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, setting priorities, and delivering results within specified timelines.
Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge, actively seek opportunities for process improvement, and contribute to the development of efficiency-enhancing strategies.
Collaboration skills to work effectively with team members from various departments and levels of the organization, while exhibiting a positive and cooperative attitude.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
