This role reports to the Service Manager. The role is for the Western region; ideal candidates will be located in the Western US.
Responsibilities- Provide remote/local technical support to customers, contractors and technicians to resolve incidents for ABB equipment (PV inverters, BESS - Battery Energy Storage Systems, PCS - Power Conversion Systems Equipment, Medium Voltage Cell, Medium Voltage Transformers, Auxiliary panels, cooling equipment, and communications).
- Coordinate with contractors and technicians.
- Maintain daily communication with technicians to resolve issues; coordinate with contractors and technicians as needed.
- Plan, direct, and manage the scheduling of Service Technician activities from assignment to assignment. Ensure jobs are staffed appropriately and that technicians understand assignment length and responsibilities. Complete and maintain required documentation and records.
- Ensure Technicians have the tools and supplies needed to perform jobs.
- Coordinate and ensure that technicians receive proper training and equipment for assignments. Manage inventory of supplies, including purchasing of tools, equipment and PPE.
- Maintain constant communication with customers to ensure jobs completed meet customer needs. Address and resolve issues or concerns with employees and customers.
- HS Diploma and 5+ years' experience in the Maintenance Service sector, including Renewable Energy Projects or other energy-related operations and maintenance industries preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of communication networks, cooling systems, power electronics, and interpretation of electrical diagrams, MV equipment, and electrical switch gear. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
- Must possess knowledge of EH&S regulations required for Technicians to work on solar farms.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time; must be able to travel and work independently.

Salary: base pay between $57,400 and $91,840 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
