Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal System Test Engineer to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be part of our Air Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Integration and Test (I&T) team to plan and execute vehicle level integration, test and checkout activities supporting the Sentinel, formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD), program.

This position will be located in Vandenberg AFB, CA
.

• Synthesize system and test requirements into verification requirements, test objectives, success criteria, and required resources for system level tests and demonstrations.
• Support the development of test requirements and detailed integration test plans, test procedures, test readiness reviews (TRRs), test data and test reports.
• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
• Interface with software developers and systems engineers in support of integration and test activities.
• Review test plans, procedures, and reports; witness testing as the Cognizant Engineer.
• Execution of qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements, plans and procedures.
• Execute the integration, test, and assembly of the Air Vehicle in preparation for developmental flight testing.
• Integrate hardware from sub-system teams.
• Participate in internal and customer test planning working groups.
• Support program reviews and customer delivery (CDRL) development
• Compile data and define changes required in test equipment, test procedures, or new test requirements.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, testing houses, development engineers and other stakeholders involved in the testing process.
• Participate in technical exchange meetings, interfacing with customers (internal/external) and contributing to a broad range of program deliverables.
• Execute tests, manage and prioritize problems/failures.
• Review and evaluate test results and provide summary reports.
• Work with cross functional, multi-discipline test and element, system, and segment-level teams.
• Identify configurations to support test and prototypes of developing systems.
• Perform data analysis of input, internal, and output message data.
• Document test results and prepare test status documentation.
• Create Test Discrepancy Reports to document issues.
• Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents.
• Maintain test equipment documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
• Participate in test facility stand-up activities, including operations and process development.

This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Test Engineer level (T-03) or Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer level (T-04).

• Principal Systems Test Engineer:
  Bachelor s degree and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master s degree; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer:
  Bachelor s degree and 8 years of related experience, 6 years of experience with a Master s degree; 4 years with a PhD; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
