We're seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and products. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring cutting-edge solutions from concept to production, ensuring quality, performance, and efficiency at every stage. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in CAD software, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components, systems, and products.
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using Solid Works CAD software.
- Perform engineering calculations to ensure system integrity, performance, and safety.
- Conduct tolerance stack-ups, thermal, stress, and vibration analyses to validate designs.
- Partner with and provide leadership to cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineering, Compliance, Product Management, and Operations.
- Oversee prototype development, testing, and design iteration based on test results.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for prototyping and production development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during all stages of new product development phases.
- Support product lifecycle management, from concept through to production, sustainment, and maintenance following ECO process.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in cost estimation and project planning activities.
Experience That Drives Success
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (required).
- 3+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Solid Works, Six Sigma, HVAC certification) may be a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Leadership experience a plus.
- Project management and time management capabilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works)
- Knowledge of other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA, or Creo) a plus.
- Proficiency in file management software (e.g., Solid Works PDM)
- Experience with ECO processes.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with 3D printing for prototyping.
- Knowledge of engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB, FEA, CFD) a plus.
- Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems a plus.
- Understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mechanical systems.

This is a full-time position, on-site at our office in St. Louis, MO.
