PositionProcess Chemical Engineer – I, II, III, or Senior. Provides technical support primarily to plant operations groups and is responsible for front‑end engineering development of capital projects at Mosaic Louisiana Ammonia facility. Acts as an active contributor to Mosaic cross‑site and cross‑functional assignments, frequently assigned to high‑profile projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide plant process engineering support to operations group including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, PSM support, problem solving, and problem prevention.
- Leverage ideas and assistance including resources across plant sites.
- Provide front‑end engineering development of capital projects: planning, identifying business objectives, evaluating viable options, preliminary design development, preliminary economic and risk mitigation evaluation.
- Responsible for commissioning and start‑up support for assigned projects.
- Support current business initiatives such as specific problem‑solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites.
- Ensure site safety and environmental standards are followed through safety audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping tours.
- Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of employees.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Engineer I – 0‑2 years of related experience (engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management).
- Engineer II – 2+ years of related experience.
- Engineer III – 4+ years of related experience.
- Engineer Sr – 8+ years or more of related experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- Experience with PI/OSISoft products or similar data historian.
- Added benefit:

- Project cost and schedule control experience.
- Coordination between design, procurement, and construction for integration of technical content and schedule activities.
- SAP/Maximo application experience.
- Ammonia specific Process Engineering experience.
- Industrial chemical plant or mining facility project management experience.
- PE or PMI certification.
Must be able to safely perform the essential functions without posing a direct threat to the safety of himself or others. Able to lift 0‑25 lbs. unassisted and occasionally. Able to climb stairs and work at various heights; able to hear, read, write, understand basic English, and see with or without correction. Able to travel unassisted and work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
