The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our Boeing Global Services (BGS) organization in Hazelwood, Missouri. Our team of highly motivated, customer‑focused engineers partners with BGS programs to help develop and maintain a culture of first‑time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Actively participate in program activities, from initial proposal through planning, verification, certification and delivery.
- Act as an independent set of eyes and ears for Program Managers and the customer, highlighting potential best practices and areas for improvement.
- Coordinate support across SQEs supporting a program to ensure SQE commitments are met.
- Verify software lifecycle activities and products comply with approved software processes, plans, and standards.
- Identify process or product non‑compliances; support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions and other defect investigation/prevention activities.
- Team with equipment managers of supplier products to evaluate supplier software development performance.
- Identify and analyze program/project software quality metrics to improve software quality and manage risks.
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 2+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test).
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- 2+ years of software quality engineering experience supporting software with AS9115, DO-178, and/or MIL‑STD‑882E requirements.
- 2+ years of experience with Software Development Processes.
- Experience with Dev Sec Ops and associated tools.
- Experience with Project Management of products developed using Agile software development practices and tools (JIRA).
Total Rewards & Pay Transparency:
At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent. Pay range is $83,300 – $112,700 annually.
