As a Senior Project Engineer - Civil Division 1 for PCL Construction, Inc. in Delhi, Louisiana, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in delivering a large‑scale industrial wastewater treatment facility, collaborating with experienced project leaders, owners, and field teams to ensure critical infrastructure is built safely, efficiently, and in full contractual compliance.

Support onsite project operations by managing Division 1 project controls, documentation, and compliance
Assist with QA/QC, submittals, pay applications, and change management activities
Collaborate daily with Project Managers, field teams, and the owner’s representatives
Help deliver a complex industrial wastewater treatment project safely and on schedule
- Lead and manage Division 1 project controls, ensuring all documentation, specifications, and administrative requirements are executed in accordance with contract documents and company standards
- Support the project Quality Assurance (QA) and compliance programs, including assembling, tracking, and maintaining required records and reports
- Serve as a key contributor to document control, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and change management documentation
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and the owner’s representatives to support cost, schedule, and reporting requirements
- Coordinate and consolidate information from multiple disciplines into clear, accurate internal and external reports
- Support environmental, sustainability, and regulatory requirements outlined in the contract
- Assist in tracking project progress and ensuring Division 1 deliverables align with contractual, regulatory, and project‑specific requirements
- Contribute to the successful delivery of a large‑scale industrial wastewater treatment project in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven construction environment
Perform and apply quantity takeoffs and field surveys to support contract progress tracking, reporting, and change management
Support onsite project operations by managing Division 1 project controls, documentation, and contract compliance in accordance with project and company standards
Administer and maintain contracts with complex subcontracted scopes, including defining scopes of work, responding to subcontractor inquiries, and monitoring performance and progress
Review and understand contractual obligations related to assigned project scopes and assist the Site Manager with project start‑up activities
Participate in the review of subcontractor submittals for scope, design compliance, and coordination across disciplines prior to submission to the design team
Assist with onsite inspections conducted by the design team, including identifying installation deficiencies and supporting resolution efforts
Witness and support systems commissioning activities, including documentation and sign‑off as required
Assist with change management, pay applications, and project reporting to support cost and schedule objectives
Identify and communicate potential risks related to assigned scopes or overall project execution
Collaborate daily with Project Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and the owner’s representatives in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment
Support project delivery through onsite engagement and flexibility to meet evolving project schedule requirements
Perform other duties as required to support the successful delivery of a large‑scale industrial wastewater treatment project
QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
2–3 years of Project Engineer experience supporting Division 1 on civil, industrial, or water and wastewater construction projects
Experience supporting Division 1 project controls, documentation, and contract compliance
Working knowledge of construction equipment and methods, drawings and specifications, quality standards, building materials, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements
