B&K Valves & Equipment represents several high-quality water, wastewater and hydro power valve & equipment manufactures in California and Nevada, that focus on customer service to their customers

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and demonstrate sound judgement with the technical expertise to diagnose and repair all varieties of water valves and electric valve actuators, which include but not limited to butterfly valves, cone valves, check valves, gate valves, plug valves, slide gates, and sleeve valves. Assist sales with the ability to perform assessments of supplied manufacturer valve systems systems in California and Nevada with some travel outside of this territory on an as needed basis.

• Work with contractor’s problem-solving issues that arise during installation of valves and electric actuators.
• Commission and start-up of new valves and electric actuators with the contractor on various job sites
• Give presentations to engineering groups and O&M personnel on the products that B&K Valves & Equipment represent
• The ability to assess valves and pipelines that have been in services for numerous years with recommendations for replacement or repairs

• Works in vaults and other confined spaces utilizing proper safety techniques and equipment
• Experience with electric motor valve actuators
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance of water distribution, wastewater, reclamation and related facilities
• Experience with working with hand tools, able to perform safety inspections of equipment, cleans and maintains tools and equipment
• Experience with computer equipment and productivity software applications
• The ability to work independently without supervision
