Remote – United States. The employee must live in one of the following states:
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington.
The mission of the Engineering Team is to ensure that the products we make are safe, meet all specified material properties, are correctly designed / specified, and when needed repaired. The Support Engineer owns the relationship between PWT Engineering, our distribution partners, and the consulting Engineers we use to meet our customers’ needs. The focus is on identifying the customers’ needs and then developing the engineered solution that meets that need.
Reports ToDirector of Engineering
Essential Functions- Provide technical support to PWT sales and customers.
- Respond to design questions.
- Develop engineered solutions to complex design conditions.
- Meet or exceed the Engineering Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Customer focused problem solving.
- Apply structural engineering principals.
- Understand mechanics of materials.
- Maintain knowledge of codes and standards.
- Attention to detail.

RequiredEducation and Experience
- Education:
EIT certification. - Experience in design of EWP products such as I-Joist, LVL, LSL, PSL, GLB is desirable.
