Project Quality Engineer – Nooter/Eriksen is seeking a Project Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance Team. The role is responsible for overall quality on a project basis, ensuring all requirements of N/E, applicable codes and standards and the customer are met or exceeded. This individual must possess strong knowledge of welding, heat treatment, destructive and non‑destructive testing methods necessary for producing a high quality product.
The position is located in Fenton, MO and will be a hybrid role depending on business needs.

Day In The LifeThe Project Quality Engineer reports directly to the Manager of Quality Control and will be responsible for resolution of product non‑conformances and deviation requests, review of supplier procedures, documentation, processes, procedures, and records to verify compliance and develop system improvements, development and maintenance of documentation to support processes, standards, and project deliverables, and will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for issues related to codes and standards.
As a Project Quality Engineer you will develop project‑specific quality plans and oversee their implementation, resolve supplier quality issues, review incoming inspection reports to verify supplier compliance, review and accept quality procedures and documentation, generate ASME Data Reports and perform code certification stamping, review Customer Specifications, participate in pre‑inspection and/or kickoff meetings at offsite facilities, and other tasks assigned.
Qualifications- Four‑year degree; BSME preferred, BSChE or BSIE accepted.
- Excellent time‑management and written and spoken communication skills; highly professional, organized and trustworthy team player; proficiency in English.
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, problem solve, make quick decisions, interpret data and analyze results; effective written and verbal communication is essential.
Domestic and international travel up to 15% required, as well as occasional requirements to climb equipment at project or fabrication sites.
Pre‑employment drug screen and background check required.
