** Test Engineering Supervisor
** for a direct-hire opportunity with a global manufacturer of advanced automotive service equipment located in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
** Compensation*
* $90,000 - $110,000

Reporting directly to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineering Supervisor will provide day-to-day leadership for a team of Test Engineers and Test Technicians responsible for validating products prior to release. The ideal candidate brings proven people leadership experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a hands-on technical background involving machinery, equipment, vehicles, industrial systems, or similar technologies.
** Responsibilities*
* + Lead, coach, and develop a team of Test Engineers and Test Technicians.
+ Coordinate testing priorities, resources, and project schedules across multiple development programs.
+ Monitor testing progress and ensure milestones align with product release timelines.
+ Support validation efforts involving mechanical systems, electrical systems, software functionality, and end-user usability.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to identify product issues, improve reliability, and enhance customer experience.
+ Drive process improvements that increase testing efficiency, consistency, and overall team effectiveness.
+ Communicate project status, testing results, and recommendations to leadership.
+ Serve as a technical resource supporting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and product evaluation activities.
** Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automotive Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
+ Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing technical employees, including responsibility for coaching, performance management, and employee development.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with machinery, equipment, vehicles, electromechanical systems, or industrial products.
+ Ability to understand how physical products operate, fail, and are repaired.
+ Experience in testing, product validation, manufacturing, quality, product development, or related engineering disciplines is preferred.
+ Automotive, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, diesel engine, aerospace, or similar industry experience is highly desirable.
+ Strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.
