Project Manager - Engineering

Our client, a leading organization in the electric utility industry, is seeking a Project Manager - Engineering to join their team. As a Project Manager - Engineering, you will be part of the Transmission Projects Department supporting engineering and project management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem‑solving skills, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Project Manager - Engineering

Location: Marshfield, MO

Shift: Days

• Assist Project Sponsors with Preliminary Planning and Initiation/Chartering of transmission line and substation projects
• Develop detailed project plans in collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) using standardized practices
• Coordinate with stakeholders, project teams, and work package owners to develop cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and management documents
• Engage with supervisors and internal teams to allocate resources effectively and coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure project timelines are met
• Provide regular written status reports and manage risk, change categorization, and mitigation strategies

• Minimum of 4 years of project management experience, preferably in transmission projects within an electric utility
• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of Project Management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and communication techniques
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications effectively
