Job Summary
The Product Applications Engineer is responsible for developing technical expertise within the Switchgear Market and acquiring an understanding of customer applications to assist customers with engineered solutions and support the development of new products for the market.
Responsibilities- Serve as the subject‑matter expert for customer applications and communicate how our products and services can satisfy customer requirements to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support new product development projects from research through planning and implementation.
- Develop marketing content (data sheets, white papers, technical bulletins, advertising materials, technical videos, webinars, application engineering profiles, etc.) to promote our technical expertise.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required).
- 1‑3 years of experience with Switchgear or similar;
Product Application Support or Design roles will be considered. - Ability to understand customer application requirements and translate them into internal capability development.
- Position is subject to meeting ITAR requirements.
- Experience with electrical, plastics, composites, aramid, cellulose or elastomeric materials.
- Creating technical white papers and bulletins.
- Creating technical marketing materials.
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or French (plus).
25 % travel.
