Join our Downstream Chemical Team
Our Downstream Chemical Team uses technology consisting of chemistry, digital tools and over 100 years of industry knowledge to bring value to our customers. The Downstream Chemicals team leverages this experience to provide best‑in‑class support to improve water and process treatment applications within the refineries where we operate.
As a Refinery Site Manager, you are responsible for:
- Building long‑term strategic relationships with customers throughout their organization to originate sales opportunities and develop strategies for business growth
- Partnering with sales and engineering representatives to deliver technical presentations to customers to provide value and process improvement
- Leveraging account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements and potential sales opportunities while managing the account budget P&L
- Managing a team of engineers and field personnel to provide service and support for our refinery customers
- Identifying and coordinating numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers
- Monitoring and maintaining existing programs for customers to provide reporting on performance of applications
- Collaborating with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hydrocarbon process treatment or water treatment industry
- Solid understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process
- Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
- Have a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions as well as operational challenges
- Able to present complex technical content to various levels of the organization, internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner

The salary range for this position is 96,400. USD if employed in California.
Pay scale for CA is effective January 1, 2023
