Compensation
  • Salary range: $97,000 – $130,000 (based on experience, education, etc.)

What you will do

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence and supporting our commitment to quality, safety, and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Manage activities and allocate resources within the Manufacturing Engineering Team to develop and meet Divisional, Site, and Value Stream goals.
  • Lead a team of 4 Manufacturing Engineers to design and develop tools, controls, equipment, processes, and lead capital initiatives for commercial HVAC unit fabrication and assembly operations.
  • Oversee team development, performance management, and organizational leadership responsibilities.
  • Work closely with manufacturing operations using a Lean mindset to develop new production methods, workstream consolidation layouts, and collaborate with quality control staff to establish standards and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Develop Future State vision, drive implementation plans, and guide technicians and engineering staff in assigning tasks.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, Quality, New Product Introduction, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team, Supplier Engineering, and Continuous Improvement functions.
  • Ensure that inputs from all internal and external customers are understood and plans are appropriately developed, driving accountability and execution.
  • Influence, guide, and manage internal and external resources to achieve program goals, providing significant guidance and approval regarding technical strategies and approaches.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop organizational talent while fostering a diverse workplace.
  • Maintain an entrepreneurial environment aligned with the organization’s vision and values, demonstrating effective change leadership.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust the annual budget for the assembly department; demonstrate strong capital‑planning skills, including budgeting, application and project management.
  • Drive continuous improvement: enhance workflow (material presentation, material flow, support plan for every part), balance production lines, conduct Kaizen events, and adopt a Lean mindset to eliminate waste and reduce controllable conversion costs.
What we look for
  • University degree in Engineering or a related field (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years manufacturing and production operations and/or manufacturing engineering experience, including at least 5 years in supervisory/management of manufacturing engineers.
  • Demonstrated track record of project management execution and high performance in current and previous positions.
  • Hands‑on experience in cost estimating, project management, contract negotiations, and interaction with product vendors.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Lean layouts and related flow strategy using Six Sigma and Lean principles.
  • Experience with manufacturing process improvement and production tools.
  • Strong capital‑planning skills: budgeting, application and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and guide resources, and strong leadership presence.
