The team provides Engineering Design, Land Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering, and Construction Management for public and private sectors. The company supports projects from preliminary design through final design, bid, construction, and construction support, including plan clarification, contractor coordination, construction inspection, and material testing. Our staff has delivered economical and efficient surveys and designs for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.
This position can NOT be remote. Candidates must be local to the St. Louis, MO area and able to commute to the office.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to provide engineering and consulting support for THD's projects and clients. Work closely with senior-level project managers and professional engineers to gain project management and engineering experience.
- Must be able to communicate complex engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams.
- Assist in developing the scope of services, cost estimates, and proposals for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, transportation, and infrastructure.
- Perform geotechnical field work including field reconnaissance, preparation of field boring logs, obtaining soil samples, construction observation, and material testing services.
- Participate in geotechnical laboratory testing, engineering analysis, and development of engineering recommendations.
- Prepare reports, plans, and specifications based on engineering analysis.
- Attend meetings with clients as a representative of THD.
- Project management activities to track and evaluate project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management and maintain quality standards on all projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Geological/Civil Engineering or related field
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) preferred
- Open to all experience levels including Professional Engineer (PE)
- Strong problem solving and resolution skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to communicate via email and verbally
- Starting salary commensurate with background and level of experience
