Powerplant Technician- Jet Engine Assembly and Overhaul

Job Description Summary

At GE Aviation’s Lafayette Engine Facility, technicians help support new jet engine assembly for the LEAP and Passport engines as well as overhaul for the LEAP engine. This role offers opportunities for professional development and flexibility through a high degree of collaboration among multiple teams.

• Drive team safety and quality investigations and corrective actions
• Participate in a flexible workforce

• Assemble, repair, and overhaul jet engines
• Cross‑train and learn multiple job scopes
• Utilize planning software and various computer programs on a daily basis

• High School Diploma / GED
• FAA Powerplant certificate OR current enrollment in a program to obtain Powerplant certification OR equivalent military experience performing aircraft maintenance and eligibility to pursue Powerplant certification (A&P certification accepted)
• Proof of FAA Powerplant certification required to start
