Responsibilities: The Associate Transportation Engineer I assists in the design development of transportation projects on local roadways and state highways under the direction of a Supervisor or Project Manager. Responsibilities include preparing plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E) construction documents, and performing engineering calculations. The role also involves coordinating with project team members, complying with project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and applying industry standards and design criteria.
Specific
Experience:
The ideal candidate has completed coursework in Transportation Engineering and has internship experience with transportation design standards. Internship experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, self‑motivation, and a commitment to quality control procedures. The Associate will work in the office at least four days per week to support teamwork, training, and mentorship.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and California registration as an Engineer‑In‑Training.
Compensation$35.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.
