Position Overview
Senior Materials and Process Technology Engineer – Chemical Technology (Senior). Full‑time position located at the Boeing facility in Hazelwood, MO.

Key Responsibilities- Author and revise material or process specifications.
- Develop and maintain environmental protection methods and requirements.
- Investigate corrosion reports, recommend design changes to reduce corrosion impacts, and address corrosion‑related inquiries.
- Support non‑conformances, fleet impact assessments, and notice of escapes.
- Review and approve suppliers for chemical processing methods.
- Analyze failures, conduct failure analysis, and lead process improvements or initiatives for finishing systems.
- Interface with government, external and internal customers.
- Review and approve documents and drawings for finishing requirements.
- Perform production acceptance and/or qualification of materials.
- Provide production and development support for Boeing St. Louis aircraft programs (MQ‑25, F/A‑18, F‑15, proprietary).
- Assist in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
- Nine or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Experience in aerospace or automotive paint application, paints & coatings, or inorganic chemical processes.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Knowledge of corrosion principles, design concepts, and techniques related to finishing systems, chemical laboratory equipment, fuels, lubricants, inorganic chemicals, qualification and analysis methods.
- Experience with aerospace coatings and/or finishing systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry or chemical engineering.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance post‑start and potentially Special Program Access, for which U.S. citizenship is required.
RelocationRelocation assistance is a negotiable benefit for eligible candidates.
Benefits & CompensationSenior (Level
4) salary range: $127,500 – $185,150.
Additional benefits include health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, paid and unpaid time off, and a 401(k) plan with dollar‑for‑dollar matching up to 10% of eligible pay with immediate 100% vesting. Qualified employees may also receive student loan match contributions.
Additional Information- This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the Hazelwood, MO site.
- Primary first shift; additional shift requirements may apply.
