Works with production staff to reduce defect by problem analysis and making countermeasures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in machine engineering in design/fabrication of custom equipment. Includes mechanical assembly, pneumatic plumbing and panel wiring.
Design and fabrication of simple machines.
Assist engineer and/or outside contractors in installation of new equipment.
Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociates Degree in technical field or three or more years of relative experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as algebra and trigonometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHERSKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer experience required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
