About C-Cube International

C-Cube International is a technology company based in Delft that develops sensors and data-driven solutions to measure and predict coating degradation and corrosion on steel structures. Our solutions help industries like offshore wind, oil & gas, and infrastructure make smarter maintenance decisions and extend asset lifetimes. We work with major players like Shell, KLM, and Boskalis, taking on projects across countries all over the world including China, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, Belgium, the UK, France, and the United States.

But beyond the technology, we’re a growing international team that values collaboration, curiosity, and initiative. Everyone at C-Cube contributes to real-world projects, shares ideas freely, and learns from one another. It’s a place where you can take ownership of your work, grow quickly, and see the results of what you do.

About the R&D Team

Our R&D team develops the core technology behind C-Cube’s coating and corrosion measurement solutions. The team combines expertise in electrochemistry, mechanical engineering, software development, and product design. They work on improving our sensors, developing new test methods, and translating research into practical tools used in offshore wind, infrastructure, and other industries.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct laboratory experiments using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) on steel-concrete samples.
  • Conduct corrosion rate testing, utilizing C-Cube’s sensors to assess material degradation under various conditions.
  • Simulate underground environmental conditions to accelerate corrosion processes.
  • Analyze experimental data to support R&D and product development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into actionable insights.
Who You Are
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering program or a related field (HBO/BSc/MSc).
  • Strong interest in corrosion science, concrete materials, and electrochemical testing methods.
  • You have some basic experience with material characterization techniques (e.g., microscopy, spectroscopy, and mechanical testing).
  • Interest in data analysis; knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus!)
What We Offer
  • Hands-on experience in materials R&D within an international fast-growing tech environment.
  • Opportunity to work on real industrial applications with measurable impact.
  • Mentoring and learning opportunities to develop your skills in coatings, material characterization, and data integration.
  • Monthly internship allowance.
  • Access to our office social and offsite events.
