Configuration Manager; CM Analyst lvl - SFRC

Responsibilities

Typical Duties:

• Implement hardware (HW) and/or software (SW) Configuration and Data Management activities to meet program contractual requirements.
• Provide CMDM support and guidance to Integrated Product Team (e.g., Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, etc.) from project start to completion.
• Ensure that existing change management and change control processes are strictly enforced throughout the development life cycle.
• Write and/or review all software and hardware change requests submitted for approval to ensure completeness and compliance with specific guidelines and industry best practices.
• Analyze product design changes identified in drawings, SW and HW specifications, SW version descriptions, installation instructions, test plans and procedures, technical orders, etc., to determine the effect on the overall product’s baseline and recommend changes as required.
• Lead and provide work assignments to analysts in the areas of configuration and data management, configuration control boards, HW/SW verification, and software sustainment.
• Prepare Rough Order of Magnitude or Basis of Estimates in support of CMDM deliverables.
• Train/mentor analysts in all phases of engineering project development and required tools and skills to produce project deliverables.
• Support the development, delivery, and customer review of program documentation/data deliverables and status accounting updates.
• Perform other duties related to providing configuration control for sustainment engineering.

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight (8) or more years of direct experience in a sustaining or development engineering environment.
• Extensive experience with engineering documentation, product structures, and change request/order management in a configuration/data management environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications, e.g., Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of materials, components, assemblies, computer, and peripheral hardware designs (parts) – preferred.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, e.g., Windchill or equivalent – preferred.
• Some extended standing, and/or travel to local and remote sites.
• Flexibility to work occasional non‑duty hours or on weekends to support specific project requirements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $75,000 and $95,000 per year, influenced by geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Salary is determined by a Collective Bargaining Agreement and may include bonus or long‑term incentive compensation awards.
