Senior Project Structural Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 8-15 years of structural engineering experience related to Buildings to support our operations in California. The incumbent candidate will work with a highly collaborative and creative team on a diverse portfolio of projects.

• Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
• Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
• Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions.
• Project management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects.
• Support studio leaders in managing staff and financials.
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff.
• Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master's Degree would be considered an asset.
• P.E. license required; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
• 8-15 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer.
• Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g., RISA, SAP, RAM).
• Working knowledge of REVIT.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. Base compensation range: $112,000-$140,000 annually for this position and local market.
