Summary: The Chemical Engineer plays a key role in research and development, design, and process improvement efforts. The ideal candidate will work both on the production floor and in our materials lab, focusing on material formulation, new product development, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This is a hands‑on role that requires strong problem‑solving skills, collaboration with cross‑functional teams, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in product quality and efficiency.
Location: This is an on‑site position located in High Ridge, Missouri
. Candidates must be able to commute to the office each day. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Research and Development:
- Conduct laboratory work to create, modify, and improve material formulations, particularly in epoxy and silicones.
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Engineering teams to develop new products for various applications.
- Develop and implement testing programs and standards for both new and existing products, while participating in testing activities.
Design:
- Design or modify processes and equipment to integrate new technologies.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Process Development:
- Partner with Production teams to enhance manufacturing processes by reducing variability, costs, and losses, while increasing throughput and overall efficiency.
- Ensure that all processes comply with environmental and safety regulations.
- Document any required process changes and improvements.
Position
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering is preferred.
- Experience with ceramic, epoxy, silicone, plastic, and/or metallurgic materials is a plus.
- Hands‑on attitude, with a focus on success in both lab testing and production environments.
- Strong process orientation with attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills in drawing software and process simulation tools.
